At The Storyteller House, we offer ordinary drinks that capture the essence of Vietnamese culture, but with a twist. Our signature salt coffee pays homage to the traditional recipe from Hue, the ancient citadel that birthed this unique coffee. The salt coffee is prepared with the traditional phin, or Vietnamese coffee filter. The unique brewing process using the phin filter, in addition to freshly ground coffee beans, allows for a slow extraction of flavors, resulting in a rich and strong cup of coffee. The Vietnamese people take their time savoring each sip, allowing them to appreciate the subtle nuances of the coffee and enjoy the moment. Our salt coffee is a layered masterpiece in a glass. It comes with three distinct layers in a glass: salt at the bottom and condensed milk, whipping cream, and coffee gradually trickle from the filter above.
